Job Title: Associate Attorney – Immigration Law (with Cross-Training in Family, Criminal, Estate Planning Law and Civil Litigation)

Location: Richmond, VA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with a passion for immigration law and a desire to expand their expertise into other practice areas such as family, criminal, and estate planning law. This is an exciting opportunity to grow professionally while playing a pivotal role in the success of our new Richmond office. The successful candidate will initially work closely with senior attorneys to gain in-depth knowledge and experience, with the goal of eventually leading the Richmond office.

Key Responsibilities:

- Represent clients in immigration matters, including but not limited to family-based petitions, asylum, removal defense, and naturalization.

- Assist in cases related to family law, criminal defense, estate planning and civil litigation, with training and mentorship provided.

- Manage case files from inception through completion, ensuring all deadlines are met.

- Participate in client consultations and develop case strategies.

- Collaborate with staff and senior attorneys to maintain and grow our client base.

- Contribute to the overall growth of the Richmond office, including staff management and office administration as needed.

**Qualifications:**

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

- Active member in good standing with the Virginia State Bar.

- Prior exposure or experience in immigration law is required.

- Experience in family law, criminal defense, estate planning or civil litigation is a plus but not mandatory.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

- A commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining the highest ethical standards.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
